WHAT IS THE PRINCESS PEN
Adapted from its earlier form as the alternative to an insulin injection for a diabetic, this needle free system is able to trigger using pressure (via a shot) dermal filler at such velocity into the Epidermal layers where it is able to spread and fill the area treated.
A traditional Dermal Filler is used which is soft and pliable (also known as a non-permanent filler) and will last for up to 8 months.
WHO IS THIS TRAINING COURSE FOR?
This course is offered to Salons and Therapists who wish to expand their range of aesthetic treatments. As a student you do not have to be a Doctor or a Nurse to perform this treatment.
The Princess Pen comes under 'needle free' Mesotherapy and is therefore insurable by our insurers ABT once the course has been completed.
IS THE PRINCESS PEN AS EFFECTIVE AS INJECTABLES?
There are always issues surrounding how the body deals with a foreign body (filler) and this can often vary in terms of how long a filler lasts once inserted (the same with an injectable). It lasts up to 10 months but can depend on many factors such as lifestyle, how many other treatments you receive to the area and how much filler you have received.
IS THERE A RECOVERY DOWNTIME
There is little or no downtime as the Princess Pen does not cause as much trauma to an area as traditional injectables. It is pain-free, can be administered at any time and your client can go back to work straight after. Results can last up to 8 months. There is no risk of injecting into a blood vessel, blindness or paralysis with this method of Mesotherapy.
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES
The pre-requisites are a basic Professional Facial course and an NVQ level 3 in Electrolysis. Although there are no pre-requisites to attending this course, check with your insurer as to the criteria required for their cover.
