This is a fully practical course with instruction on how to successfully and comfortably perform waxing on a customer privately or in a beauty salon using both hot and warm wax.

An essential and integral course to cover for any therapist wishing to go into business whether it be working in a salon/Spa or working for yourself – waxing is the most popular treatment in most salons Every 4-6 weeks, and according to hair growth cycles (anagen, catagen, telogen, clients return for further waxing and will often enquire on other treatments so you are guaranteed a continual source of income. Hair removal using waxing is one of the most popular and profitable salon treatments as it removes hair from the root and this in turn delays the growth of a new hair. Wax depilation provides a quick and efficient way of clearing small and large areas of unwanted hair. Waxing is particularly popular during the summer months when women want to wear their swimsuit. The growing popularity of the 'hollywood and brazilian' wax is undeniable and there is now as 'specific course' for this waxing called 'Intimate Waxing',

In addition to this, male waxing has now become extremely popular with a further guarantee to income. Chest and Back waxes are the most popular treatments for men.

What To Expect From This Course

This is an exciting and intensive course which will teach students how to perform strip waxing. Areas covered will include:

• Arms
• Legs
• Back
• Eyebrows
• Lip
• Chin and face

An extra unit is now covered with hot wax application for the more safe removal of hair to the following area:

• Bikini

The correct techniques are taught in order to give a professional and practical treatment using the correct methods of removal and ensuring a comfortable treatment with good after-care.

A client consultation form will be provided and a full understanding of contra-indications will be covered in the criteria.

An understanding of hair growth cycles and related anatomy and physiology is also covered with this course

The Waxing course is open to complete beginners or existing therapists, no previous experience is necessary

This is an insurable course and will give existing therapists a further 10 CPD points.

Certification

A certificate will be issued on completion of the course, as will 10 CPD points if required. You are now able to upgrade to a NVQ Beauty Level 2 unit for an extra £199

Pre-Requisites

There are no prerequisites for attending this course

What You Need To Bring

Each student will be able to use all facilities and products in their course for NO extra charge. Extra support will be given as and where necessary and if a student does not feel totally confident by the end of the course, we will book in EXTRA time for them at NO extra charge until they feel confident!!

PLEASE NOTE: Before attending the course please allow your hair on your legs, bikini, lip, and underarms to grow, as we will need at least a length of 5-7mm of hair growth in order to work and get good results, so please allow adequate time to grow your hairs.

If you are the only student attending the course, it may be a pre-requisite that you need to bring a model to practice on.

Courses with only one student booked on them may be subject to a 24 hour cancellation clause.

HOW TO BOOK

Booking is simple. From the list below, find a date that suits you and click on 'Book!'. You can then pay your deposit to secure your booking. Please contact us if you would like to pay your deposit by cheque.

Final payment is 10 days before the course unless paying cash on the day - details will be emailed to you once we have received your deposit. Last minute bookings can be paid by cash on the day.

Duration

The course last one day, from 10am to 4pm. Cancellations can be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to the course. In the case of a cancellation later than 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
